Family Dining, Concerts and a Day in the Park

Friday night, we met our friends Tom and Shannon for dinner at Maggiano's. Other than me, no one had been there so it was pretty fun to enjoy the family dining experience with others for the first time. We had fun conversation, good food and good drinks.

Saturday, after getting four inches of my hair chopped off , I met Joyce for a concert on the green in Smyrna. We watched 7 Sharp 9 play. They are always a fun bad to see. The set up on the green was not so fabulous though. The best seats were tables set up on concrete...which hardly makes it a concert on the green. The grass was to the far left of the stage. We had a great time and met a fun family with a great dog.

This morning we took Jasmine to the dog park. She always has a great time and totally wears herself out. This morning there was a little boy dog, General Bedford, trying to court her. After him obnoxiously following her everywhere she went and constantly sniffing her bottom, Jasmine nipped at him and showed that she was boss. Since my sweet lab is the most submissive dog on the planet, it was fun to see her take up for herself. Once Bedford was gone, she had a great time chasing balls and rolling in the grass.

We followed our morning at the park with waffles for breakfast...delish. Then, we worked in time for a nap. Tonight we're having a country, country dinner. Fried cube steak, cornbread, field peas and cream corn. Yum, yum! I love lazy Sundays.
