Tom and Shannon hosted a bunch of their friends for a low country boil this past Saturday. It was a good time. It was fun to get to know some other firefighter wives, watch some football, then relax by a fire pit.
They made their low country boil in a turkey fryer yet they have no plans to fry a turkey for Thanksgiving. They offered to let us borrow it, and I was thrilled. When we have our families over for Thanksgiving, we can serve up some fried turkey. The greatest thing about it is that it's one less thing for me to do (you can bet that Jared will be in charge of cooking up the turkey) and one less thing to cook in the oven in my tiny condo!
