Burning Down the House

Wednesday, when I arrived home, Jared had done a lot of cleaning. We were expecting my parents and Jared's parents on Friday, and we (we = me) wanted the house to look nice. While we were making the bed and changing the bedskirt, Jared through the old bedskirt out of the room, and it landed on our chest/cabinet. Little did we realize at the time that a candle was burning on that chest. It didn't take long for us to realize. Jared looked over, and there were flames flying high. He ran and grabbed the bedskirt and took it outside to smother it. Meanwhile, Jasmine layed on the couch and took it all in. I don't think she's cut out to be a rescue dog. :)
