| Our first night in our new home |
We've made a few improvements. We added a fence. We had some fabulous built-in shelves/cabinets put in around he fireplace. We couldn't have been more pleased with the end result (although it did mean that Jared had to downsize his TV).

Parker become obsessed with The Lorax, and we took him to see the movie. He sat, frozen and mesmerized, the entire time through the movie. It was definitely a success. We even all wore orange in honor of our furry friend.
We took a great family trip to Chattanooga in May. Parker absolutely LOVED the Children's Museum (which he called the playground). He especially loved the water area. He also loved riding the inclined railroad. He really expressed his independence at the baseball game by sitting all on his own. He is such a hoot. It's so fun to watch him grow.
Parker also LOVED the beach...once again. We went to visit Grandma and Pawpaw at the beach in NC after the 4th. Parker loved the beach, and he loved the ferry. It was a great trip for him. He especially loved having his very own bedroom to himself. Grandma and Pawpaw fixed up the sunroom just for Parker. He slept like a rock.
Parker is starting pre-school next week. I think he is really going to love it. It makes me a little sad that he is growing up so fast. He is talking up a storm, and he is even using the potty sometimes. He changed Grandma's name to "Nana". He loves bossing Jasmine around ("Out of the kitchen, Jasmine" "Outside Jasmine, go potty"). Sometimes he even puts his toys in timeout. He loves demanding that we "got get it" - whatever IT is that he wants. He loves Andry Dirds (Angry Birds). He loves Looney Toons. He gives the sweetest kisses, and he squeezes you tight when he hugs you. I LOVE this boy!
Hopefully, I won't be such a blogging slacker and will post photos of Parker's first day of school...before 9 months from now. :)
