Thanksgiving 2009 - Parker's First

The Purinton men drinking beer and frying turkey -- experts at both.

Patrick and Momma making dumplings - yum!

Quality time with Grandma so that Mommy can work on dinner.

Started the day a little grouchy b/c we were forcing bottles on him.

With Uncle Matt! Uncle Pat refused to give it a go.

Fussy with Grandma and Pawpaw. They take it all in stride.

Jared's mom, dad and brother along with my mom and brother joined us for Thanksgiving this year. We had a feast of fried turkey, oyster dressing, giblet gravy, green bean casserole (from scratch), cranberry sauce (from scratch - no can jelly), and chicken and dumplings (soupy -- just like I like 'em). We topped all of that off with delicious pumpkin pies and pecan bars. What a feast!

Even more fun was all of the quality time we were able to spend with our families. My mom came and helped on Wednesday and Thursday while Jared's parents stayed through Sunday. His brother stayed until Saturday. Parker was able to spend a lot of time with those dearest to him. Now that's something to be thankful for!

That first picture reminds me of King of the Hill. Yep. Yep. Yep.
