Clemson 17 (but with a lot of heart), GT 21

Jared and I went to South Carolina for the Clemson v. Georgia Tech game this weekend. Although the Tigers were defeated, we had a great time. Honestly, I wasn't my most enthusiastic about waking up at 7:30 a.m. on the weekend to tailgate, but we had a great time. Our tailgate included guacamole, french onion dip, chocolate chip walnut cookies, brats and beer. Sounds like a great breakfast, right? :) We had Tech fans on one side of us and Clemson fans on the other. Amazingly, it turned out that I vaguely knew one of the neighboring Tech fans. She was a senior when I taught at Wheeler High School.

One of the exciting aspects of this trip was that it was Jasmine's first time to Jared's parents' home. Boy did she have a blast! She was SO excited when Jared started packing her bag because she knew she was going on the trip with us and would not be left behind. Once we arrived, she loved the freedom of being able to roam around the big yard as free as can be. She and Max got along splendidly, and she carefully heeded Kitty, their cat.

While there, we were able to sample more flavors from the Purinton winery in addition to a few well crafted beers. Luckily, we were able to bring a bottle of plum wine back with us that I will take to my friend, Kelly's, wine tasting.

All in all, it was a great trip!
