Congratulations, Lt. Purinton

Jared received the bittersweet news that he was being promoted to Lieutenant this month.   Bitter because he was sad to leave such an awesome crew at 38s (station 38).  Sweet, because we are proud of this accomplishment and all the effort that went into it.  As is tradition, Jared provided and cooked his last meal at 38s.  He invited Parker and I to attend as well.  He did a low country boil with garlic bread. He also brought a hummus appetizer.  The boys were eating good in the bankhead hood.

Parker LOVES raiding the "store" at 38s.

 Yum - there it is!

The leftovers -- not many

The next night we attended Jared's pinning ceremony.  Boy was Parker a wiggle worm and pretty vocal about his excitement (at times) and boredom (at others).  He was a handful.  After daddy was pinned, we went outside the council chambers and Parker crawled circles around city hall.  Parker was quick to clap for his daddy though. It was a proud night for our family.  Jared's Uncle Keith and Grace came to watch as well and were big helps in acting as our photographer and babysitter.
