The good news -- Parker is fattening up like a champ (as if you couldn't tell by his pictures). Today he was 11 lbs 13 oz. That's nearly 3 lbs from last month's visit! This put him in the 25-50th percentiles for his age! Yay! He's still a little short at 22.25 inches (up 2.25 inches from last month). He is developmentally on track, and she described him as "just a pleasure" to be around.
The not so good news -- our pediatrician was a little concerned about the fluidly lump on his head which has progressively gotten bigger since the week before Thanksgiving. Another pediatrician (on our sick visit when I first noticed it) diagnosed it as caput succedaneum which resulted from using the vacuum at birth. Our pediatrician was not so sure. So, we're having a cranial ultrasound this coming Friday at Scottish Rite. We'll be in the best hands in Atlanta. The good news is that she does not think that the fluid is on his brain or a result of a problem with his brain.
